Purpose

To remove trailing spaces from a character string and insert them at the beginning.

Elemental function.

Syntax

CHARACTER (LEN=*) FUNCTION ADJUSTR(STRING)
CHARACTER (LEN=*) STRING

Return value

The result has then same type and length as STRING.
